Guinn, Scott

Scott and Linda Guinn were attending Gateway College of Evangelism when they received their call into Spanish ministries. After they pastored a Spanish work in St. Louis, Missouri, for over five years, God called them to Mexico. In August 1996 they went as associates in missions to northern Mexico City, where they pastored and opened new missions. He also served as district secretary, sectional presbyter, and Bible school teacher. The Guinns received their missionary appointment in October 1998. In April 2000 they started a church in the capital city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, which has grown and produced three other churches. They also supervised and trained leaders among three different Mayan Indian tribes in the mountains and jungles of Chiapas. In March 2006 they took on the responsibilities of the South Central District (the states of Puebla, Oaxaca, and Tlaxcala). They started a church in Puebla, the fourth largest city in Mexico. In February 2014 Cuba was added to their responsibilities and they have made trips there.
