The Bensons received their appointment to Central African Republic in 2007, after having spent a year on the Associates In Missions program in Madagascar. Due to the civil unrest in the Central African Republic, they have not been able to move into this country. Therefore, they have spent the last two terms working in the countries of Togo and Benin, while making frequent trips into the Central African Republic as circumstances permitted. During their last four years in Benin, they constructed and opened a full-time Bible school facility in the city of Ouida. They have also instituted the GATS Training Program via night classes in the city of Cotonou. Teaching and training is the passion of the Bensons. In 2018 the country of Benin was officially added to their appointment.
