After five years on the AIM program the Bir family was appointed as missionaries to the country of Paraguay in May 2007. After two years of deputation they arrived on site in October of 2009. Joey Bir was appointed as the national president over the work in April 2010 and has been involved in overseeing the work in general, administration, organizing conferences, traveling, teaching in the Bible school and pastoring the central church in the city of Lambare, the capital city area. Cristina has worked in the national ladies ministry as the director of promotions and as the children's ministry director, organizing children's camps and activities throughout the year. She has also worked in the financial administration of New Heights School.
