Lonnie James Burton was raised in Venezuela as a missionary kid. He became a youth pastor and musician, serving in churches in Barcelona and Eastern Venezuela. After completing his studies at Indiana Bible College, he returned to Venezuela to work in the Valera Bible school as an AIMer, ministering on weekends and opening churches in the Andes Mountains. Lonnie and his wife, Damarys, were appointed missionaries in February 2004. They worked at the national Bible school, started four churches and oversaw the graduation of over 230 students at the Bible school in Valera. Lonnie and Damarys pastored a church in the Andes Mountains for over two years and continued to establish churches in Venezuela. The Burtons moved to Barcelona/Puerto La Cruz to establish a new Bible school where over 462 students have graduated. There is great revival in Venezuela!
