Patrick and Jean Groves were appointed missionaries to Sudan and Kenya in April 2004. Their focus is on leadership training, evangelism and church planting. They also oversee the Bible school in Kenya. Patrick is the superintendent of the UPC of South Sudan (UPCSS), which was registered in August 2011. The Groveses are pioneer missionaries to South Sudan, where UPCSS has sixty-seven churches and over 20,000 constituents. They are currently in the process of registering the church in Sudan, where the population is predominantly Muslim. They are also conducting seminars on apostolic doctrine and leadership training.
